Perbedaan Pola Konsumsi Sayur dan Buah Berdasarkan Status Gizi pada Anak SD Negeri 05 Kota Bengkulu

Abstract


Low consumption of vegetables and fruit is related to nutritional status and causes children to be less focused. Elementary school children experience the consequences of consuming high-calorie foods, causing differences in nutritional status. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in vegetable and fruit consumption based on nutritional status of body mass index according to age in children at SD Negeri 05 Bengkulu City. This research is a quantitative research with a cross-sectional research design. The research sample was and grade students at SD Negeri 05 Bengkulu City with a total of 94 respondents. Vegetable and fruit consumption patterns were calculated using a semi-quantified food frequency questionnaire and nutritional status using digital scales and microtoise. This study was conducted from 04 January to 04 February 2023. Kruskal wallis used for data analysis. The results showed that the students with reverse nutritional status were 58 people (61.7%), 16 people with overweight status (17.0%), and 19 people with obesity (20.2%). Most of the consumption patterns of vegetables and fruits that are most often consumed are carrots and watermelons. While vegetables and fruit that are never consumed are chayote and dragon fruit. There is no difference in the total intake of vegetables based on nutritional status (p>0.05). There is a statistical difference in average fruit consumption based on nutritional status (p < 0.05).
