Buangan sayuran pasar yang merupakan sisa penjualan atau yang sudah tidak terpakai dapat diolah sebagai campuran pakan ternak dalam bentuk silase. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hasil subtitusi buangan sayuran pasar pada daun gamal terhadap nilai nutrisi silase pakan ternak ruminansia. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan bulan Oktober sampai Desember 2022 bertempat di Laboratorium Jurusan Peternakan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Negeri Gorontalo dan Analisis Kandungan Protein Kasar dan Serat Kasar dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Kimia Makanan Ternak Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Hasanuddin, Makassar. Penelitian ini dirancang berdasarkan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan 4 kali ulangan. Analisis sidik ragam menunjukkan bahwa setiap perlakuan pada bahan organik, protein kasar dan serat kasar berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05). Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini bahwa nilai tertinggi bahan organik ditunjukkan pada level penggunaan buangan sayuran pasar 0% dan daun gamal 40%, pada protein kasar dengan penggunaan buangan sayuran pasar 10% dan daun gamal 30%, dan pada serat kasar dengan penggunaan buangan sayuran pasar 0% dan daun gamal 40%. Dalam penelitian ini juga bahan organik dan serat kasar menurun dari P1-P5 seiring dengan meningkatnya penggunaan buangan sayuran pasar dalam mensubtitusi daun gamal dari 10% sampai 40%. Namun demikian terjadi peningkatan protein kasar pada level 10% dan 20%.

Market vegetable waste that is leftover from sales or that is no longer used can be processed as a mixture of animal feed in the form of silage. The purpose of this study is to determine the results of substitution of market vegetable waste in gamal leaves on the nutritional value of ruminant feed silage. This research was carried out from October to December 2022 at the Laboratory of the Department of Animal Husbandry, Faculty of Agriculture, Gorontalo State University and the Analysis of Crude Protein and Crude Fiber Content was carried out at the Laboratory of Animal Food Chemistry, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Hasanuddin University, Makassar. This study was designed based on a complete the randomized design (RAL) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. It were variegated shows that the organic matter, crude proteins and crude fibers differ very significantly (P<0.05). The results obtained from this study that the highest value of organic matter was shown at the level of use of 0% market vegetable waste and 40% gamal leaves, in crude protein with the use of 10% market vegetable waste and 30% gamal leaves, and in crude fiber with the use of 0% market vegetable waste and 40% gamal leaves. In this study, organic matter and crude fiber decreased from P1-P5 along with the increasing use of market vegetable waste in substituting gamal leaves from 10% to 40%. However, there was an increased in crude protein at the level of 10% and 20%.
