STARATEGI PENDAMPINGAN GURU PPKN PADA ANAK TUNALARAS MELALUI KEGIATAN EKSTRAKURIKULER DI SMP NEGERI 1 BIAU KABUPATEN GORONTALO UTARA
Abstract
This research aims to find out : 1) the classifacations of students with special needs (unsociable) at SMP Negeri 1 Biau, 2) assistance strategies of Civics Education teachers on unsociable through extracurricular activities, 3) the factors inhibiting Civics Education teachers in providing assistance on unsociable students through extracurricular activities. This research applies a qualitative method with a case study model. The data collection is conducted through observation, interview, and documentation. The main informants are Civics Education teachers, homeroom teacher, and principal. The technique of data validity check applies triangulation technique. The data analysis consists of data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The findings reveal that: 1) the classifications of unsociable students are hyperactive, aggressive and dissident, 2) assistance strategies of Civics Education teachers on unsociable students through extracurricular activities are communication with students’ parents, homeroom teacher and counseling and guidance teachers, involving students’ parents on extracurricular activities, giving rewards, providing motivation and strengthening and arranging the front row seats for the unsociable students, 3) the factors inhibiting Civics Education teachers in providing assistance on unsociable students through extracurricular activities the unsociable students do not attend the extracurricular activities, lack of parents’ cooperation, the students are from broken home family.
