Abstract


The purpose of this study was to examine educational tourism learning strategies in Kediri nursery as a learning resource for fruit plant cultivation. This study proposes an educational tourism learning strategy with a scientific approach. This type of research is qualitative with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. Sources of research data are primary data and secondary data. Primary data is the result  of direct observation to the research location and the results of interviews with key informants, namely nursery managers, tour visitors, and tour guides. Secondary data is the result of a SWOT analysis (strength, weakness, opportunity, threat) based on the tourism potential of Kediri nursery education and documentation activities. The stages of descriptive data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Validity and reliability tests through the triangulation process of data sources. The results showed that the learning strategy with a scientific approach could gradually increase the interest of visitors to educational tours to learn the cultivation of fruit plants in the Kediri nursery. Learning with this system is able to attract visitors to come back to tourist sites.
